While we encourage guests to stay at the Kimpton to make transportation and gathering easier, you are welcome to stay anywhere you prefer. Santo Domingo offers a variety of hotels nearby to suit different styles and budgets.
Las Américas International Airport
Las Américas International Airport (SDQ) is the main airport serving Santo Domingo and is the most convenient option for guests traveling to the wedding. The airport is located approximately 30–40 minutes by car from the Colonial City and the Kimpton Las Mercedes Hotel, depending on traffic. Taxis, Ubers, and private car services are readily available for transportation into the city. We recommend arranging transportation in advance if you prefer a private transfer.
Please remember that a valid passport is required for travel to the Dominican Republic. All travelers must also complete an electronic entry form, known as the E-Ticket, before arrival and departure. Additionally, a $10 tourist fee is typically included in your airline ticket.
